Siemens Corporate Technology China was awarded “2008 Best Enterprise R&D Centers in China” by the magazine of Global Entrepreneur in Beijing. The Awards further recognized Siemens Corporate Technology China as one of the most prestigious enterprise R&D centers in China.
Launched in 2006, the award “Best Enterprise R&D Centers in China” is organized and announced every year by Global Entrepreneur, one of the leading business magazines in China, with the purpose to recognize and reward top enterprise R&D centers which have made significant contribution to the technological progress and facilitated build-up of core competencies of enterprises in China.
The prize-winners were selected by a jury which consists of professors from top universities, experts in R&D communities, and two consulting companies. Based on the list of Ministry of Commerce, the jury evaluated more than 750 R&D centers according to a set of criteria ranging from R&D strategy, R&D management, R&D results, R&D investment to R&D cooperation, and awarded 20 top enterprise R&D centers of both international and Chinese companies.
Being awarded the prize for two consecutive years, Siemens Corporate Technology China has built up a sound foundation in China, for the market of China and worldwide. “We feel greatly honored to be awarded the ‘2008 Best Enterprise R&D Centers in China’,” said Dr. Arding Hsu, Senior Vice President of Siemens Ltd., China, and head of Siemens Corporate Technology China, “but it is just a start.
