Servosoft ECM

Servosoft now includes an Energy Cost Model (ECM), which calculates annual and lifetime energy cost, and provides a benefit analysis of adding more capacitance or switching to a regenerative drive.

Servosoft’s ECM allows engineers to better understand their design from an energy cost standpoint.

The ECM calculates the energy cost of the current system, as well as the potential energy cost savings if all the bleeder energy is captured and stored with additional capacitance.

By running a detailed power flow analysis with the additional capacitance, Servosoft determines the system’s net energy consumption, which often results in a energy cost savings.

Servosoft then presents the results in dollars and cents, allowing engineers to make a cost benefit analysis of adding additional capacitance or switching to a regenerative drive.
