SIEMENS’ new SIMATIC S7-1200 controller has set new standards for industrial automation after being installed in Australia for the first time at Versacold Logisitics.
The system combines a wide variety of functions from counting and measuring, speed, position and duty cycle control to simple process control functionality.
Siemens says the SIMATIC S7-1200 controller family has been designed with maximum flexibility to fit individual machine requirements.
The controllers feature an integrated PROFINET interface, powerful integrated technology functions and a highly scalable and flexible design.
These allow the SIMATIC S7-1200 controller to provide simple and efficient communication for automation requirements across a wide range of applications.
The integrated PROFINET interface is used for programming, HMI and PLC-to-PLC communication.
It also supports communication with third-party devices using open Ethernet protocols.
