Siemens Standard Motors Ltd. becomes fully-owned operating company

To better serve customers in motor business, Siemens Ltd., China (SLC) has made further investment to acquire the remaining stakes (15%) in Siemens Standard Motors Ltd. (SSML) from its Chinese partner Jiangsu Beide Electrical Machinery Corporation. With the completion of stock transfer between the two parties in July 2009, SSML has become a fully-owned operating company of Siemens Ltd., China.
SSML, set up in December 2005, was a joint venture between SLC and Jiangsu Beide Electrical Machinery Corporation. Based in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province, SSML focuses on developing and manufacturing a full series of low- and middle-voltage standard motors as well as special motors and has witnessed rapid business development since its foundation.
Based on the successful cooperation with the Chinese partner in the past three years, SLC has decided to inject further investment in the company so as to respond more quickly and accurately to the market and improve its products and services in motor business. As Siemens’ fully-owned operating company, SSML will continuously dedicated to optimizing and improving the performance and quality of its products, and better serving its customers in Chinese market.
